Wireless N

Wireless Technology was only in it's infancy 40 years ago, and now data and images are capable of being saved by such a medium. The incredible thing is that it is radio waves flying through the air that provide such a high quality link to the rest of the world that we users can rely on it for day to day reliable connectivity if needed. Wireless N is the next stage.

Advantages

The major advantages of Wireless N over any other wireless to date on the consumer market is that Wireless N offers high throughputs of up to 450 Mbps, and at a price many people can afford. Wireless N supports a new feature in the 2.4Ghz Spectrum that is called MIMO. The advantage of MIMO is that it allows for data to be both transmitted and recieved at the same time, unlike previous versions of 802.11 (Wireless Standards), and thereby allowing for speeds that immediately double all previously available speeds.
